Let me share something I’m proud of, one of the Google Ads projects I handled for a small fashion boutique in Canada. The goal was simple: reach more customers and increase online sales.
This store sells trendy and everyday outfits for women. They already had a great product line and a nice website, they just needed more people to discover it online. So I set up a Google Ads campaign that could help them reach new potential buyers.
What I Did
We used Performance Max, a type of Google campaign that shows ads across many platforms, Google Search, YouTube, Shopping, Gmail, and more. It’s a good option for small businesses because it helps maximize reach without needing to make a lot of separate ad versions.
I made sure the ads had strong visuals, short and catchy messaging, and most importantly, proper conversion tracking so we could clearly see when someone actually made a purchase.

The Results
After just a few months running the campaign, from September 2024 to February 2025, here’s what we achieved for this period:
Over 4,400 clicks
More than 355,000 people saw the ads
Almost 80 sales
We only spent around $2,100 CAD
The campaign even got marked as “Limited by Budget,” which means it was performing well and could’ve reached more people if we had a higher budget.

A Real-World Pause
By February, we noticed a sudden drop in traffic and sales. This wasn’t a performance issue, it was simply because the client needed to pause the campaign for a while due to emergency issue and budget constraints. It’s totally normal, especially for small businesses managing cash flow.
Even with the pause, the campaign already showed what’s possible with the right strategy and a modest budget. The results were proof that Google Ads can really help fashion brands grow online — even if you start small.
What I Learned
Not every campaign has to run non-stop. Sometimes, pausing and adjusting based on your business situation is part of the journey. What matters is that the system works, and you can turn it back on when you're ready.
This experience reminded me that good results don’t always require big spending. With the right targeting, visuals, and strategy, even small shops can drive real results.
If you're running an online boutique and wondering if Google Ads is for you, the answer is yes, as long as it’s done smart and simple.
